Upcoming Events

The National "Teach In" on Global Warming is going on now. Gary Machlis will give the keynote tomorrow from 1:15-2:00 in the Silver and Gold Room. Especially for those of you who are considering doing your research project on global climate chance, this would be an excellent opportunity to start thinking about what issues you'd like to address.

Also, as I might have mentioned, 2009 is both Darwin's 200th birthday and the 150th anniversary of the publication of the Origin of Species (good timing, Chuck!). WSU is celebrating with Darwin Week from Feb. 17th-19th. I'll be part of the panel discussion on the 17th — I hope you'll come anyway.

  1. Speaking of Darwin, the University of Idaho will be hosting to 2009 Evolution Meetings. I don't know the details, but you can get more info at the UI Department of Biological Sciences website.
